Comment of the Week: Young Alec Baldwin
There are performances. And there are performances. And then there is this.
So you’ll indulge me if I deviate from the usual weekly award to give Mr. Baldwin the coveted Comment of the Week. For he is God.
To think I was an atheist before seeing this performance!
It was a great moment in cinema
Right up there with “You can’t handle the truth!”
Ehr ? I sorta thought Baron V. G.’s abortion tequila sunrise from Friday’s caption this pic was a sure thing for the weekly.
Sorry. This is NOT AB’s finest moment.
His best ever was the 10 min harangue he gave in GlenGarry Glen Ross. THAT was Godlike.
He also has excellent taste in wimminz. And, he’s a long islander, which is a big plus in my book.
However:
I nevertheless find him to be an elitist, self-important, smug, sanctimonious, slobbish dweeb. If he ever does something to me that requires a sicilian vendetta in response (and I’m part sicilian), I will poop on the hood of his car and buttrape his dog.
To the eternal statement of the god-like quality of Harvard, I offer the eternal answer of Alvie Singer: “hey, Harvard makes mistakes, too, you know. Kissinger taught there!”
Was this an interview of AB at the Actor’s Studio or was he speaking in character?
Glen Gary Glen Ross FTW, although is is a close second.
